Tanjore Nayaks (1532 - 1673 AD)
This coin is a so far unreported variety. This is the first time it is being published. This coin shows Obverse: Hanuman facing left with raised hand which is typical to other Tanjore Nayaks coin.
Reverse: Elephant facing Right with uplifted tail.
The coin is 6 MM in diameter and is a very small and unusual size. This coin was found in Tanjore.
